transportation alternatives
So. Here is this picture. It's from the basement of the art building at Sarah Lawrence, in the animation studio. It's been there for years. I'm not sure what it's deal is, but I like the apple and the yellow crayon. And, of course, the bike.

I'm pretty sure it is this non-profit NYC organization, seeing as this sticker was in NY.

Doing art alone is really lonely.
These pictures are from Sarah Lawrence in NY, this fall semester before I up and left.

I actually don't know why I took a picture of these chicken strips. It's a mystery. Fun fact though: the food service workers liked me because I (and a handful of others) spent a lot of my time trying to protect them: getting them a union, health insurance, better pay, better treatment in the work place; ie not getting physically and verbally assaulted.... so they all gave me free food. I didn't have a meal plan at all. I'm facebook friends with the worker who always gave me these chicken strips.

The animation room was depressing, to the point that no one would keep me company in there. Not even Wilson, whose other option was the depressing basement that we live in. but at least it had a better couch?

And animation is really time consuming. At least Fiona sort of kept me company. :)
P.S. I never finished this project. But the half finished version is on youtube.

Not At Sarah Lawrence
As you've noticed, I'm in Berkeley, not at Sarah Lawrence. My friends there all got out of finals and are coming home. Some of them are graduating. I don't know when or if I'll see most of them again.
This is a typical Sarah Lawrence scene. On a sunny fall day, people swinging, one of them smoking a cigarette. Of course. SLC has the highest percentage of smokers of any small liberal arts college.

Some of them should be back in Berkeley now, I think.

Sunfowers

I bought some sunflowers to try to brighten up my room. My basement. It doesn't really get any sunlight. Unfortunately, the sunflowers don't help; my room was already so colorful. I mean I have a huge brightly colored painting on the wall, so the flowers were just a dying drop in the bucket.
It's so unfortunate that I decided to move to a place without sunlight, because I can never get a good picture inside. Among other reasons, like the effect on my mood. Sunflowers are so pretty. But I buy them because they are the cheapest flowers at the supermarket. So cheap, so pretty. I probably wont keep buying flowers like I planned originally, because my room is bright enough without them.

I have a house. Also- Lasagna.
here is my beautiful Wilson, ready to walk with me to a beautiful fall wonderland, where we could live happily, basking in the warm sunset and swimming in the river. But we didn't walk through that window, didn't take that route, because I feel compelled to get this amazing education.
But I do have Wilson, and I do have a place to live. I also have magic lasagna making powers. Anyone who has talked to me in the past week has probably heard all the want to hear about lasagna.
Here is lasagna-eating. Nom.
I set up my bed space to dry some roses, so that when I got Wilson out here there would be dried roses above the bed. They're in a vase now.
Too bad to those of you tired of hearing about my lasagna. It was SO GOOOOD. And lasted me for almost a week, so I should definitely make it again sometime.
Why did I make it? The ricotta was on sale and I needed to use the spinach and some ground beef. So I should make it again soon.

Here is my apt while I was moving in. COLOR!

My walk to the Music Building this morning
As I was walking to class this morning I decided to invent a short cut. It took me behind the building below.

It led to a weird little path. I wasent sure the path was going anywhere I wanted it too. Sometimes there are obsticles. The other day I bruised myself trying to jump a superflous chain link fence. It had no reason to be there! A classmate let me in through the window instead.

It took me behind the Art building. Wonderful! I love the art building, it is so fun to explore!

Behind the president's house I found a little stone arch and gate. "I wonder what is that direction."

This is the presidents house (I think- in any case it was where I was). The place is huge!

I forgot to put in the photo of my faviorate place on this walk! I am too tired and hungry to bother.

As you can see, this meandering walk too me just where I needed to be.

The music building is beautiful. I can't get over it.
